Rewards

Rewards are digital badges AppToMe grants you as you give time. They serve no practical purpose: they are there to say thank you, and to let you see how much you have done.

How you get them

Badges arrive on their own when you reach certain milestones. There is nothing to ask for and nobody assigns them by hand. There are four families:

Type Milestone
Hours type the service hours you have given
Shifts type how many shifts you have completed
Tasks type how many different tasks you have taken on
Apptome type milestones tied to using the app

The number of badges obtained is also one of the three counters on the Dashboard, under Rewards.

When they arrive

A periodic check compares your counters — hours, shifts, tasks — with the badges' milestones, and grants all the ones you have reached. It runs several times a day, not in real time: once you complete your hundredth shift, the badge may arrive a few hours later. When it arrives, you get the notification.

If you pass several milestones at once — which happens to people who join the app after years of service already recorded — the badges all arrive together, not one at a time.

The welcome badge of the Apptome type is the exception: that one appears as soon as your membership of the organization is approved.

They count per organization

The counters are those of your activity in that organization. If you are in several organizations, each has its own collection: the hours done in one do not earn the badges of the other.

The collection

From the Dashboard tap the Rewards counter to open your collection.

Badges are grouped by type (Apptome type, Hours type, Shifts type, Tasks type) and each shows the milestone it stands for: the "100" badge of the Hours type is the hundred hours given.

The ones you have obtained are in colour, the ones still to win are dimmed and read Not yet obtained: the collection also serves to know what is missing.

Tap a badge to open it and see it large, with the milestone it stands for.

Sharing a reward

In a badge's detail there is the share button: it opens the phone's menu to send it wherever you want — messages, social media, whatever you use.

Sharing works on the app installed from the App Store or Google Play; from a computer browser it may not be available.
